Minor Section Mid- Season Update   14/05/2015

We take a break from official Rebel Og league and championship fixtures for the current season now, as the State Examinations beckon. Our non exam fixtures in both hurling and football commence this week for the lads who are not engaged in exams and below we provide an update on the league and championship progress in both Minor and Juvenile to date.

Premier 1 Hurling

We had an excellent victory over the 2014 county champions Sarsfields in our preliminary round game and progressed to meet Blackrock in the next round. In the PH1 league we have had 2 wins and 1 loss.

Premier 1 Football

Our P1 footballers had a tense win, AET, in the first round against near neighbours Nemo Rangers and now await our opponents in the semi final. This opposition will come from the losers /group which will be played in July. In the PF1 league, the team is top of the table with 3 wins from three games. Our second team was defeated by Nemo Rangers in championship and will re-enter via the losers group later in the year. We also are competing in the East league section with this team providing worthwhile games for a large group of players.

Premier 1 U- 16 Football

This team has had a very successful league campaign and top the table with 4 wins from 5 games and activities will commence again after the exams with the final 3 league games and the championship in July/August

Premier 2 U-16 Hurling

This team is also undefeated following wins over Valley Rovers and Ballinhassig and as with the u-16 football they will resume activities in June with both league and championship fixtures coming in soon after the state exams are concluded
